Artemis, re-imagined as a Native American influenced goddess.
This variation emerged from my reading on Artemis and the phrase “virgin forest”. The author was theorizing that the phrase descended from “the virgin’s forest”, meaning Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, wild spaces, and wild life. I thought she would feel quite at home in the wildernesses of North America and…voila! I had a different perspective on her.
