Dynamic symbolic painting of light versus the darkness.

This is the first of three larger canvases I made, the second of which sold at an Artomatic in DC/Crystal City, VA.
It is called Summoning the Light and features Dionysus, the Twice-born, Bull-Horned god holding the Grail Cup, a symbol of rebirth/regeneration, in one hand while he attempts to hold off the spirits of malevolent darkness with his other hand. Meanwhile, in the roles of Naro Dakinis, Kali and Medusa dance and spread incense.
It is 36″ x 36″ x 1.75 inches, oil on canvas. It is a particular favorite of mine and was shown at Artomatic back in the 2010s and at my solo exhibition at Otero Arts space in May of 2023.
This is a larger canvas, so shipping is included in the price.
