A substantially sized painting at 36″ x 48″, oil on canvas.
A sort of whimsical, narrative painting: three deities hanging out in the forest hear hunters approaching. (Gonna feel sorry for whoever takes a potshot at Cernunnos or Dionysus though.)
Artemis, in her Native American guise, looks on with concern at Cernunnos, while Dionysus looks toward the intruders in the near distance.
By the way, it never goes well for us mortals when we encounter gods in the woods.
This painting was part of my 2015 Artomatic display in New Carrollton, MD, near DC, and was also in my show at the Otero Arts building in Alamogordo, NM.
